Adjustable orifice
Function
The adjustable orifice is used to set flow rates at constant pressure.
In case of changes in the flow rate, the openings can be increased or reduced by turning the choke plate.
If the opening is increased at constant pressure, the flow rate via the orifice increases. Conversely, if the opening is reduced at constant pressure, the flow rate decreases.
Recommended installation distance for measuring before and after the orifice: 2-3 x DN.
An adjustment key is available to make the
handling of the orifice easier. (see accessories)
The orifice cannot be used as a shut-off device (cannot be closed 100%)
- DN 40 – 200
- Range of use up to PN 16
- Maximum permissible difference pressure: 5 bar
- Maximum working temperature 90°C
- Medium: drinking and non-potable water
- Made of stainless steel 1.4301
