Backflow Prevention Device BA Typ 574/575
Then, together, we protect our most important viands to ensure future supplies of clean water.
The higher the proportion of different consumers in the public supply network, the higher the potential hazards for pollution and contamination (e.g. through backsiphoning).
HAWLE Service offers solutions that meet the applicable standards and requirements. Our Backflow prevention device BA, series 574 and 575 serve to safeguard the quality of drinking water by preventing non-potable water from flowing back into the public water supply network.
They comply with the standard required by ÖNORM 1717 and guideline W77 of ÖVGW. This topic is also particularly important when installing fire extinguishing systems.
In the ÖVGW guideline, the following requirements apply:
“Since water in fire lines is only used in the event of a fire, the water stagnates the rest of the time. Insufficient water renewal leads to bacterial growth and, as a result, poses a risk to drinking water carried in the same system. As a solution to this problem, only fluid category 4 backup devices may be used.”
These requirements are also met with our system separator. After installation, we also offer the annual mandatory maintenance according to the standard and manufacturer’s specifications.
If you have any questions about this product, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
We will be happy to advise you and help you choose the right system separator.
Examples: Installation in a building with multiple consumers, backflow of non-potable water, installation in a fire protection system.
